Control Panels
Control panels are designed and built in our own workshop to the required specifications from basic wall mounted control panels through a broad spectrum of medium sized cubicles to full-sectionalised Form 4 panels. This includes Forms 2 & 3 using standard enclosures or fully welded cabinets with a very high quality finish, custom built for the project.
Cabinets and enclosures can also be provided to suit outdoor or harsh environments manufactured from GRP or stainless steel.
Components are selected for quality and reliability and many of the standard control panel items are held in stock.
All control panels are built to comply with BS-EN60439 Part 1 & 2 and use control gear complying with BS-EN60947.
Prior to despatch control panels are tested for loose connections, correct terminations and compliance with the wiring diagrams. In addition functional checks are carried out in the works to ensure that all interlocks and sequencing is in accordance with the performance requirements of the specification.
To comply with the LV Directive, all control panels carry the CE mark.
We also provide the opportunity for the customer to visit our workshop and witness the testing procedures prior to delivery to site.
Safety tests include insulation resistance testing with an approved type 500 volt testing instrument and flash testing of 2kV for one minute. All test instruments are calibrated and the results can be traced to national standards.
Certified schedules detailing all tests and their results are provided with copies of the relevant wiring diagrams.
